Our workshops are designed to help undergraduate researchers build the skills and confidence you need to thrive in academic and professional settings. By participating, you will gain valuable experiences that complement your research and support long-term growth.
Representing student research in the sciences, engineering, cyber policy, sports management and the humanities, they embody Discovery for Every Discipline and highlight the many opportunities and resources available through the Office of Undergraduate Research.

Faculty mentors play a key role in the research experience, aiding in the professional and personal growth of student researchers. This award gives students the opportunity to recognize their outstanding faculty research mentors.
There are a range of summer research programs and supports available for undergraduate students
Conducting research for academic credit is a great way to learn how to do research specific to your field of interest and build relationships with faculty. There are a variety of opportunities, including research methods courses and independent studies. Check with your Advisor or Faculty Mentor about getting academic credit for your research.
Graduating with distinction (in your major or in leadership via the research pathway) recognizes the meaningful connections between learning within the classroom and discovery outside of the classroom.
One of the benefits to research is building a strong relationship with your mentor. Clear expectations, open communication, and a passion for the research project are all ingredients of a solid working relationship.
