Background & Duties

Jessica Hibshman worked for 16 years as a Customer Service Manager at Publix Supermarkets, Inc. before starting her new career at the University of South Carolina in 2021, with the departments of Philosophy and Religious Studies.

As the Business Office Manager, Jessica plans, coordinates, and performs administrative, budget and grant management duties for the departments. Jessica is responsible for all of the preparation and submission of department Human Resources, financial, and travel related documentation for faculty and visiting guest speakers. Jessica also assists the chair in the daily operations of the department.

Jessica is currently a junior at the University of South Carolina, studying to complete her Psychology degree with a minor in Criminal Justice. Jessica’s husband, Kenneth, is an Army veteran that was with the 82^nd Airborne and is currently employed by Westinghouse. Kenneth and Jessica have two sons, Jordan, who is employed by the United States Navy and is currently stationed in Japan, and Kaiden, who is in 7^th grade. Jessica and her family reside in Irmo, SC.
