Joy Alexander has been part of the dance fabric of Columbia since she began her training at Calvert-Brodie. She attended AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in NY, where she studied for both stage and film. She was dance captain/ performer aboard Holland America’s cruise line and has numerous acting, dancing and choreography credits. She returned to South Carolina in 2006, and has been teaching and performing ever since. She currently teaches at Columbia Ballet School and Town Theatre with her specialities focused on tap and musical theatre.
