There's so many different outlets that you can find in WGST if you apply yourself in the ways that you want. When you're studying Women's and Gender Studies, it helps to figure out a specific avenue which you want to apply yourself. Through WGST, I realized I really liked advocacy, working on a client basis, and being able to get to know somebody's story individually and help them learn and grow. That's why I decided to pursue case management. There is so much meaningful work out there. It's a matter of how you apply yourself. There are so many opportunities, and I feel like the Department of Women's and Gender Studies does such a good job of entertaining all those other interests that you can pair with the degree.
