Albert “Trey” Rabon

Trey Rabon is currently state pPresident, AT&T North and South Carolina, responsible for the company’s regulatory, economic development, legislative and community affairs activities in the Carolinas. He works closely with state and community leaders to help encourage private investment in next-generation broadband infrastructure, bring innovative technology jobs to the state, and improve the quality of life for citizens across North and South Carolina.

Rabon brings a diverse background to the position, having joined AT&T’s predecessor company, BellSouth, in 1999. He initially served as a service consultant in the business marketing group, moving through positions of increasing responsibility before becoming a Senior Project Manager in the AT&T Global Business Services group in Columbia, SC. He moved to the External Affairs organization in 2008, representing AT&T in western Tennessee for five years. In 2013, he was appointed executive director of legislative and external affairs for AT&T North Carolina, where he collaborated with members of the N.C. General Assembly and other public policy makers on issues impacting the state. 

In addition to his responsibilities with AT&T, Rabon is a member of the noard of directors and executive committee of the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the board of directors and executive committee of the YMCA of the Triangle, the board of directors of the National Minority Institute for Economic Development, and the board of directors of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.  He is also a member of the North Carolina Association of CEOs. 

A native of Camden, SC, Rabon attended the University of South Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and a Master of Business Administration in International Business. He is a certified Project Management Professional accredited by the Project Management Institute and a 2015 graduate of Leadership North Carolina.

Rabon is an active member of his faith community and serves in various roles working with students and young adults. 

Rabon and his wife, Dawn, live in Wake Forest, NC. 

A sports enthusiast, he is passionate about University of South Carolina Gamecock athletics. He enjoys being a dad, spending time outdoors, and living life to the fullest.
