Munich Multimedia Maymester
JOUR 596 is a three-week Maymester course that students and faculty will travel as a group to Munich, founded in 1589 and one of the most eco-friendly cities in the world. The city celebrates German food and beer daily and is located just minutes from the Alps mountains. Next the group will spend a week in Berlin, known for diverse residents and the Berlin Wall.
The class will be split into teams of diverse students (various college majors) who will pool their research, knowledge and skills to produce a multimedia story / project told in a variety of media (words, video, audio, photography, design and anything else you can imagine).
See it. Live it. Tell it.
The level of sophistication in communication is rising, requiring broadcasters, newspapers, magazines and Fortune 500 companies to use multiple communication techniques to reach their audiences.
No tour buses or traditional classrooms for us! This class is taught on the streets of the cities which will provide the students a unique opportunity to experiment with multimedia theories, methods and skills in an environment that they do not know the language. Recent research indicates that 45 percent of U.S. business want new employees with international exposure so this is your chance!
