Background

DeAnna Risher has worked more than 20 years in higher education as an adjunct instructor, academic program manager and executive assistant to the provost. She currently serves as the assistant to the associate dean of academic programs and student services. In this position, she manages administrative and program planning functions. Risher also serves as graduate program liaison and collaborates with graduate students, directors and campus partners to support graduate student progression.

She is a military retiree with 22 years of service focused on training, administration and human resources. Passionate about giving back to the community, she volunteers with non-profit organizations that provide academic, personal and professional development opportunities for middle and high school students.

Risher enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in book clubs and watching happily-ever-after Hallmark movies.
