Ellis Carroll, soprano, holds a Masters of Music in Voice Performance from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelors of Music and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Voice Performance from Towson University.
Previous operatic appearances include Edith (The Pirates of Penzance; Columbia Operatic Laboratory, 2024), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro; Opera at USC, 2023), Bridget Booth (The Crucible; Opera at USC, 2022), Hippolyta (Michael Ching’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, an a cappella opera; Towson University, 2021), and Kate (The Pirates of Penzance; Towson University, 2020). Upcoming engagements include a recital with the Valley Voice Initiative Recital Series, joining the Sandlapper Singers, and returning to Columbia Operatic Laboratory for their 10th anniversary season.
Off-stage, Ms. Carroll has held positions as Assistant Stage Manager and Props Mistress with Opera at USC’s productions of Die Zauberflöte (2023) and She Loves Me (2024). Other administrative roles include serving as Company Manager for FBN Productions, Inc. and was on the production team for the premiere Children’s Opera Festival (2024).
She is excited to be back “home” in the School of Music as an Undergraduate Academic Advisor. When she is not at the School of Music, she enjoys finding new books to enjoy, going camping and to music festivals and spending time with her dog, Bruno.
