We are proud to offer a research-driven and multidisciplinary marine science program, which features a broad-based education with room for specialized research.

We offer a comprehensive education across the multiple disciplines associated with marine science. Our program upholds USC’s research-intensive focus and places a high priority on advancing knowledge in the field. We offer financial support for qualified applicants, including a teaching assistant stipend, a tuition waiver and health insurance.

    Satellite Oceanography

    Explore the ocean and its changes through satellite data at one of the few universities to offer satellite oceanography.

What You’ll Study

Master’s students in our program take graduate level courses that cover the four pillars of oceanography: advanced biological oceanography, chemical oceanography, geological oceanography and physical oceanography. We also teach satellite oceanography, a specialized field that is available at few universities nationwide.
