Take the next step as a professional jazz musician ready to develop faculty-ready skills in improvisation, composing and performing in order to teach or enter into a doctoral music program.
Choose advanced training in jazz composition or jazz performance. Study in the corollary areas of theory and history. Work with digital technology to create and produce music. Perform with ensembles. Degree requirements include successfully passing an oral examination and the composition of an original jazz work or recital performance as a thesis.
