This video offers practical next steps for faculty exploring how to use generative AI in their teaching. It highlights key considerations such as aligning AI with pedagogy, setting clear expectations for students, encouraging responsible use, and accessing university support.

Events

The Teaching and Learning with Generative Artificial Intelligence webinar series will equip participants with the practical knowledge and strategies needed to unlock Generative AI's full potential in education.  Participants will learn how to integrate Generative AI into their teaching practices to create enriched learning environments for their students. By attending all webinars and completing a reflection activity, participants will receive a digital badge.

This collaborative space brings together faculty, staff, and graduate students at the University of South Carolina to:

    • Discuss the practical applications of GenAI across administration, research, teaching, and learning.
    • Explore emerging trends and share best practices.
    • Develop strategies for the responsible integration of GenAI into higher education.
    • Share experiences, challenges, and successes.

At the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Showcase, faculty from the Provost's AI Teaching Fellowship will present their hands-on experiences integrating GenAI into their teaching practices. This showcase will explore diverse and practical applications of GenAI across multiple disciplines.
